Hello

My husband's and my story start like many - we were taught that going to school, getting a job in a good field (ie. healthcare) and climbing the ladder was the path to success.  We quickly realized after graduating pharmacy school with six-figure debt and living in a HCOL city meant we were not going to buy that million dollar home and a range rover right after graduation, ha! 

 

We graduated pharmacy school in 2014 and our financial literacy at the time was minimal. All my husband and I were constantly told to do was max out our 401k and continue to live like college students - which is what we ended up doing. Not realizing that we just started our FI journey, we continued to live below our means while slowly building our financial literacy knowledge. We also learned how to utilize points and miles to travel, adding to our rich life.

 

Nine years later, we have paid off our student loans, traveled to 22 countries and on our way to FAT FI/RE within the next 10 years!

 

For us, we defined that success does not mean climbing the corporate ladder, but rather having time freedom from the corporate world.
